Mandates

A board certified physician in two specialties, Bill speaks with clinical credibility against authoritarian, counterproductive mandates and lockdowns.

A physician's case, in his own sentence

Bill frames his position on mandates around his day job. On his Goals page he writes: “As a board certified and actively practicing physician in two specialties, Emergency medicine and anesthesiology, I am in a unique position to speak with clarity and credibility against these authoritarian and counterproductive mandates.”

The argument he is making is about standing: he says a working doctor in two specialties can speak on this subject with a particular kind of credibility. What follows is his reading of events, offered in his words rather than as a medical finding.

Two board certifications and a hospital shift

The credentials behind that sentence are in his published biography. He is board certified in emergency medicine (2001) and in anesthesiology (2004), a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and has been an emergency physician at OSF Saint Francis since 2003.

He also serves locally. He was elected to the Tazewell County Board in 2020 and his biography lists the county's Health Service Committee among his assignments.

The promise: never again, in his words

Bill describes what he objects to this way: “They used fear to gain control over our economy, schools, travel, and even our worship while they created dependency and coerced vaccination compliance.” He adds that “Illinois was one of the worst lock down states.”

His commitment is one line long: “I will work to never let that happen again.” That is the full extent of what he has published on mandates, and it is a pledge about lockdowns specifically. If you want to hear him say more, the events page is the place to find him.
